Music

“Music is a universal language that embodies one of the highest forms of creativity. A high quality music education should engage and inspire pupils to develop a love of music and their talent as musicians, and so increase their self-confidence, creativity and sense of achievement.”- Department for Education

At Co-op Academy Broadhurst we recognise the importance of music in the curriculum and the right of every child being given the chance to learn a musical instrument. We employ a musician in residence for a day a week who works across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. He follows the National Curriculum objectives and programmes of study.
