Well done!

Well done to Issac and Ethan for winning Beaver and Cub of the year on the same night!

Isaac was awarded Beaver of the Year for having completed most challenges and earned the most badges!

Ethan was awarded Cub of the Year for his ongoing commitment and also taking upon himself to solve the financial problems for Cubs when they couldn’t afford badges for others at a hard time (he took it on himself to donate his savings to help others).

We are all very proud of you both.

Reminders

– Please collect children from class at 3.15pm.  Any children taken to After School Club who haven’t been pre-booked in will be charged the full rate of £5.00 if collected late.
– Please inform the Academy Office if your child/children are going to be collected by someone else.  We can not release the children unless we have been notified.
– There will be no After School Club on Wednesday – 23rd November – due to staff training
– Friday 25th November school is closed all day for an INSET day
– Thank you to all our families that have been joining us for our Friday Assembly. So it is a positive time for everyone. There are some guidelines we need you to follow.
– Please do not take any photographs or film any part of the assembly. This is important for safeguarding reasons. Anyone seen doing this will be asked to leave.
– Please switch off or silence your phones during the assembly and keep them out of sight.
– Please can you turn up on time – we do it first thing after drop off to make it easier.
– We understand that you may need to leave before the end of the assembly due to work or other commitments but we would prefer you to stay to the end if possible to minimise disruption.

Parking
You may have noticed that we have some signs outside school asking drivers to be mindful when parking. We hope that these will make people think about where they are parking when dropping off and collecting children from school. One of the neighbours who has had difficulties with people blocking her driveway in the past sent a lovely email thanking us for trying to put something in place.
Thank you for being courteous to our neighbours.

Assemblies and Parent Coffee and Chat

Thank you to all the parents who joined us for our Celebration Assembly this morning, you are welcome to join us in our Friday assemblies. Our assemblies start at 9am so the hall doors will be open 5 minutes before.

Parents’ Coffee and Chat has now started up. It will take place straight after assembly on a Friday. It will not be every week so dates will be shared on our newsletters. The next Coffee and Chat will be on Friday 9th December.

Please come along and find out what is happening in school 🙂.

Rights Respecting Schools

The Article of the Month is Article 38:
Governments must not allow children under the age of 15 to take part in war or join the armed forces. Governments must do everything they can to protect and care for children affected by war and armed conflicts.

Next week is Parliament Week and the Academy Parliament have organised some debating topics and voting activities to share with the classes.

PE and Events

Some of our KS2 children were invited to take part in a Bowling competition with other schools in the Trust.  They were fantastic and competed against children from our local high schools.  They showed fantastic determination, teamwork and resilience.  One of our teams even secured the 3rd place Trophy- well done!
